Maybe I'm jut living in the past,

But when I meet the right one, I know that I'll be true --

My first love will be my last.

When I fall in love, it will be for - ev - er

Or I'll nev - er fall in love.

In a restless world like this is,

Edim    D        DM7         B7
Love is ended before it's begun;

Cdim    Em    B+        Em7   B7
And too many moonlight kisses

B7/F#   Em   B+      G6   Em7    A7sus4  A7
Seem to cool in the warmth of the sun.

D      G  A7/6  D   G  A7  D      Gdim D   G/B       A7
When I give my heart, it will be for - ev - er

D        G    D  Cdim B7  Em7   G/B  A7
Or I'll nev - er give my heart;

Em7  A7 D      D7    Edim  G
And the moment I can feel that

Cdim F#m7  B7  Cdim  Em7   Gm7
You  feel that way, too,

    D        Gdim B7  E7   A7   D    Cdim(IV)  G   Gdim  D
Is when I'll fall in love with you.

This is a revision of a chart that has been here for quite some time. The intent was merely to add the introduction, as recorded by Karen Carpenter. But once I got into it, I soon realized that the chart itself was weak and needed improvement. This version transposes from my original key of C to D.
